INITIAL MONTHS (6-8 MONTHS)
- Review the licence exam syllabus(No astringent syllabus, but gross syllabus of Pharmacy education in Nepali Universities, Pokhara University ) , identify subjects/chapters that need more attention
- Make a study plan. Be as comprehensive as possible, allot adequate time for each subject and chapter.
- Go through the basic concepts and practice them by solving more and more questions.
- Stick to your plan and keep regular track of your progress. You may also design a simple tricks, mnemonics may be helpful in some cases.
This is the most important stage because this is when you make your foundation strong. Take the first 5 to 6 months for laying a strong foundation. Keep solving topic wise questions which are available in various books and request Pharmasastra Team for the study material. Then, when you are confident about your basics, move on to sample question paper.
LAST 3 MONTHS
This is the time for mock tests. These months play a very important role in fine tuning your preparation for Licence exam. Keep a track of your performances in every test and ensure that you are progressing with each mock test that you take. Identify your weak areas and allot more time to those topics in your revision plan.
LAST MONTH
Create a revision plan. Revise the topics which usually have more weightage in Licence exam like Physical Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis etc. As stated earlier, practice more and more, find out your weakness and try to overcome them. 6 TIPS TO MAINTAIN YOUR CALM AND COMPOSURE ON EXAM DAY
Here are a few quick tips that may help maintain your cool on the examination day:
1.Be Prepared. Be Confident
Confidence is the key to success and preparation is key to confidence. If one is well prepared, one can appear for the exam confidently. You should start your preparation early and leave ample time for revision. It will help you gain required confidence for the test day.
2. Improve your Study Style
Everyone has a different style of studying. Some like making notes while others like skimming through the pages. Identify what style suits you the best and study accordingly. Being clear about your study style further helps you remain confident few weeks before the exam day. Don’t try to follow someone else’s study method as it may not suit you
3. Get Sufficient Sleep
Getting sufficient sleep before the exam day. Needless to say, proper sleep helps increase your concentration level and thus, your performance on the exam day. Make sure you get at least 7 hours of sleep before the exam.
4. Ask for Help
During last few weeks before the exam, you may have several doubts and problems. Seek help from experts, teachers or your friends for resolving your queries instead of trying to solve it yourself. Time in last few weeks is of utmost importance and you may waste a lot of time resolving doubt yourself. 5. Be Optimistic
Optimism can help you during the various phases of your preparation and certainly on the test day. Never be disheartened. Always be motivated, be positive, and believe in yourself.
6. Aim High
Set an aim for yourself and give your best shot to achieve it. The aim must be high and clear in the eyes of the student. Setting an aim opens the path for achievement. If you aim high and earnestly try to achieve it, you would definitely do better that you otherwise would have done. But, please keep in mind that aim should be realistic.
