Medicine Shortage in Mountainous districts of Far-western region in Nepal

Mountainous districts of Far-western region of Nepal is facing serious medical crisis from past 6 months. The essential drug supply process is halted due to the rigid drug procurement policy implemented by the government and the effect of blockade further made it difficult for the manufacturers to supply the medicines to the areas of demand. The rural health institutions don't have mandatory drugs like Paracetamol, Digene, Aspirin,Antibiotics, Oxytocin,Iron and Zinc since past six months.
