Far-West received donated medicines worth of more than 15 Lakhs

Far-western Regional Medical Store received the medicine supplies worth of more than 15 lakhs. The Volunteering team  devoted their time and service for the supplies.
The Volunteering team member, requested all the concerned bodies and the public to keep an eye on those medicines donated to the Five districts and requested to be aware about their health right which is too included in this current constitution. All the medicines has been dispatched and received by all the DHOs of Five districts and confirmed with scanned letter from respective districts.

Received with thanks from, We Help Nepal Foundation, World Light Foundation, Deurali-Janta Private Limited, coordinated by Noble Compassionate Volunteers (NCV) and Medication For Nepal citizen volunteers team, the following drugs and supplies (Annex I) in the stated quantity. These drugs and supplies will be distributed in the below mentioned quantity to 5 districts – Darchula, Baitadi, Accham, Doti and Bajura (Annex I)Regarding accountability - These drugs will be entered in the Government central inventory system at the Regional Office and District Office. Each district will provide receipt confirmation of the drugs and supplies after the delivery is completed. These drugs will be provided free of cost to the needy patients who visit the district health posts and hospitals.Regarding transportation – The Regional Medical Store will take the responsibility of delivering these drugs from Dhangadi hub to each district heath office. District Health Officer will then deliver the medication to district hospital and health posts.
We would also like to thank Buddha Air for providing free air tickets to volunteers, Sumana Shrestha and Kabin Maleku and transportation of essential medication from Kathmandu to Dhangadi.We would like to thank residents of Dhangadi Mr. Madhav Shrestha for helping us coordinate this donation effort, and Mr. Madhusudhan Rajbhandari for providing free accommodation and food for the volunteers for 2 nights 3 days.We would like to thank Mr. Shankar Ghimire, Mr. Dipesh Pradhan, Mr. Pabitra Thapa from Asian Pharmaceuticals for their help with coordination and procurement of the drugs and supplies at subsidized rate.We would like to thank Dr. Govinda KC, TUTH for being the source of information for shortage of drugs and supplies to the Medication for Nepal team, which was critical for this entire process. Kind Regards
