The Nepal Pharmaceutical Association (NPA) is a professional organization for pharmacists in Nepal. The association is committed to promoting the interests of pharmacists, improving the quality of pharmacy services, and advancing the pharmacy profession in Nepal. Recently, the NPA has conducted a process to identify candidates for key positions in the association. The process was led by PharmaShastra, and interested candidates were invited to provide their details and answer several questions related to their educational background, experience, achievements, and vision for the association. In this blog, we will discuss the responses provided by one of the candidates, Sanjay Chaudhary.
Educational Background and Current Engagement:
Sanjay Chaudhary has a higher degree in Pharmacy (M.Pharm or
equivalent). He is currently engaged with Nepal Pharmaceuticals Lab.Pvt.Ltd in
Birgunj and has 10-15 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical
industry/Pharmacy sector.
Management Experience:
Sanjay Chaudhary has extensive experience managing a wide range
of responsibilities, including inventory management, staff management,
executing GMP compliant programs, implementing sustainable manufacturing
practices, developing plans to reduce waste and increase efficiency, developing
a detailed production schedule for the next year, Product utilization reviews,
Product Shortage identification/management, and comprehensive annual product
reviews. He has excellent organizational skills that are essential to resolving
problems in the most efficient manner possible.
Achievements and Contributions:
Sanjay Chaudhary has contributed to the pharmacy sector in
several ways during his career. He is an active member of Pharma club Birgunj
and shares his knowledge, experiences, and skills with all pharmacy professionals.
He has also contributed to the development of pharmacy students by using an
innovative and creative approach to counsel students who were in a conundrum to
choose pharmacy as a career. He has also helped several pharmacy graduate
students to complete their industrial training program.
Vision for the Association:
Sanjay Chaudhary's vision for the Nepal Pharmaceutical
Association is to improve the quality of pharmacy services in all related
sectors, such as academics, hospitals, industry, and the community. He believes
that the association is in a potential age and has positive energy to do new
things. He emphasizes the need for the NPA to synchronize with different
healthcare service providers and work hand-in-hand to achieve their goals.
Policy Priorities:
Sanjay Chaudhary highlights three policy priorities for the
Nepal Pharmaceutical Association. First and foremost, he believes that the NPA
should be decentralized so that it can connect with as many people as possible.
Second, he emphasizes the need to pressurize government bodies to create a lot
of vacancies for pharmacists in related areas. Finally, he believes that the
NPA should connect with international forums to uplift the organization.

Sanjay Chaudhary believes in supporting and encouraging
professional development opportunities for members of the Nepal Pharmaceutical
Association. He emphasizes the need to improve communication skills, build the
ability to work in a team, make members flexible with any circumstances, and
